Planning three month in advance one of the cheapest ways to travel abroad, because if you book your flight early then your flights will cost you a lot cheaper than booking few weeks before traveling. Airlines start offering low prices for early booking. It is important to find out which airline offers the lowest price for the destination you want to fly, there are some airlines that offers really low price for most of the flight destinations, one good example will be Air Asia. Once the flight is booked it is important to planning your accommodation, one of the suggestion is to register to booking.com so that they can send you email of the best promotions, usually when they email for the promotion the price of the rooms are really cheap compared to looking for the hotels online. Book your hotels in advance, because you will have the chances cancel your hotels for free if you find cheaper hotels to stay.  Planning 3 months in advance is one of the cheapest ways to travel abroad from Malaysia for students, it is very important even if you are not student.

Think about the country you want to go, maybe you wanted to go to around five countries that you want very much. Once you know the countries you want to visit then you should know the places you want to visit in those countries. Adjust your budget with the places you want to visit, you can find out all about the costs in the country from internet, usually best way to find out is through the exchange rate, if the country has weak currency rate against US dollar then  most likely things are not so expensive.

Cost of Traveling to Singapore from Malaysia can be costly but if you plan it very well it can be a lot cheaper. When you book your hotels on booking.com you should check all the pages, don't just look at the front page because there are a lot of hotels that offer really good price. There are hotels that offers RM150 or USD50 to RM210 or USD70, if you stay for 2 nights it can cost up to RM400 or USD134. Traveling with bust is a lot cheaper but it may take longer because usually bus stops in many places on the way, the ticket price from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore cost around RM 70 or USD23 for one way, but it is possible to get cheaper if you buy the ticket at the bus center.  Spending 2 nights in Singapore is enough to visit most of the places. Adding up the transport and accommodation will be RM400 2 nights hotel + RM140 two way bus ticket =  RM540 or USD180 You can take some food with you or eat 2 minute noodles with bread, the food is expensive in Singapore but if you eat at the restaurants next to roads then it is cheaper.

In Thailand, food is not that expensive so if the students want to budget their trip then their should eat outside rather than eating at the hotel. Fast food in Thailand cost same as any other country but local foods should reasonably cheap, but Thai foods are hot so you should ask not to add too much spice.

The students or anyone else should find out all the possible alternatives before booking hotels and airlines, because they might be a lot cheaper ways to travel. It is important not to ignore the emails received from booking.com and Air Asia, these to companies offer one the best promotions and discounts. Students and anyone else should not be shy and ask their friends if they want to travel with them, They might not be able to travel with you in all your tours but they might travel with you to one of the country and it could reduce your cost be a lot.
