Why some of the universities in Malaysia are not ranked high in QS ranking?

Some of the private universities in Malaysia are new compared to the high ranked universities around the world. The lower ranking doesn't mean that the universities in Malaysia have low quality. The universities in Malaysia have high quality and they are work very hard to make sure that the quality of the education increase in very fast rate to be among the top universities around the world.
One of the best example is Multimedia University (MMU), which the QS Asia ranking is among the top 200 in Asia, and MMU was established in late 1996 as university. With the fast rate of current improvement the universities in Malaysia will increase in the ranking very soon.
